Information we collect
For Steps of Valor event registration, we may collect your name, email address, optional phone number, optional organization, and confirmation that you understand event-day check-in information. If you contact the team directly, we may also receive the information you choose to include in your message.
How we use information
Steps of Valor uses registration and contact information to plan the event, communicate event updates, coordinate participants and groups, respond to questions, and maintain basic event records.
Donations and payments
This website does not collect payment card numbers, bank information, or payment credentials. Donations are handled by the external Spotfund fundraiser, and sponsorship or payment-related questions may be directed to the organizer email listed on the Contact page.
Third-party services
Steps of Valor uses third-party services to operate parts of the website and registration process, including Tally for event registration forms and Spotfund for donations. The required UTA participant waiver is completed through UTA MavEngage. When you use those services, their own privacy practices may also apply.
Required UTA participant waiver
Every participant must complete the required UTA MavEngage Participant Release and Indemnification Agreement. That waiver is hosted by UTA MavEngage, and information submitted there is handled through UTA's system and process.
Sharing information
Steps of Valor does not sell registration information. Registration details may be shared with organizers or trusted event helpers when needed to operate the event, communicate with participants, or respond to requests.
Data retention
Registration and contact information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for event planning, event follow-up, organizational records, or legal compliance.
Children’s privacy
This website is not intended to collect information directly from children under 13. A parent or guardian should complete registration or contact the team on behalf of a minor participant.
Your choices
You may contact Steps of Valor to ask about registration information you submitted or to request that your contact information be updated or removed from future event communications.
